What Steinwert actually does today

Three building blocks. Two run today, one is openly planned. No vapor features on this page.

Portfolio · live

Type a set number, the rest fills itself in: name, year, parts, MSRP. You add condition (Sealed through Damaged), purchase price, notes. As many sets as you want.

Over 26,000 sets indexed today.

Wishlist · live

Mark sets you're hunting along with a target price. Steinwert shows you the daily distance to market value (median of active eBay-DE listings). Email-on-hit lands once the mail path is wired.

EOL radar · Q4 2026

Sets typically gain 25–40 % on the secondary market once LEGO retires them. That's the reason this feature exists. We're building it openly: sources, methodology and hit rate will live on a public status page.

One card per set, like a museum label. MSRP from Brickset, market value from eBay-DE, both pulled fresh daily. Sample size is shown so you know how thin the data is.

AT-AT

Set 75313 · 6,785 parts · 2021

A UCS set from the Hoth line, in stores since 2021. Comparable UCS releases of the past decade gained an average 25–40 % after their official end-of-life; the AT-AT is highly likely to follow that pattern once LEGO retires it.

From the box to the table

Three steps. Steps 1 and 2 run today; step 3 activates once mail delivery is wired.

  1. Add a set

Search by set number: over 10,000 entries from year 2000 onward are in the database. Name, parts and MSRP come from Brickset. You add condition, purchase price and (optionally) a note.

    75192 · Millennium Falcon UCS 7,541 p.
    21344 · Orient Express 2,540 p.
    10497 · Galaxy Explorer scanning …
  2. Watch the value

MSRP refreshes daily from Brickset, converted to EUR (DE first, UK/US/CA as fallback). Market value comes from the median of active eBay-DE listings, filtered to complete sets, sample size shown transparently.

  3. Ping on a hit

Set a target price. Once the market value drops below it, Steinwert sends an email. The delivery path is the next iteration. Push and EOL alerts follow once the foundation is in place.

Six questions, answered honestly.

01Where does the price data come from?
Two sources, both refreshed daily. Brickset returns MSRP per region (DE, UK, US, CA); Steinwert takes the lowest EUR value after conversion. eBay-DE delivers the market value as the median of active Buy-It-Now listings, filtered to complete sets (listings below 30 % of MSRP are excluded, which strips parts, minifigs, and instructions-only listings). Sample size is shown openly. BrickLink stays closed: their API requires a registered-seller status we don't have.
02How does the EOL radar actually work?
Right now it doesn't: the feature is planned for Q4 2026. The plan: combine list-price moves across DACH retailers, Brickset's own status fields (released/exitDate) and LEGO press releases. Once the first version ships, sources and hit rate will live on a public status page, no black box.
03Is Steinwert affiliated with the LEGO Group?
No. Steinwert is an independent single-person project with no connection to the LEGO Group or its subsidiaries. “LEGO”, “BrickLink”, “Brickset” and similar marks remain property of their respective owners and are used here only nominatively.
04Which sets are in the index?
Over 10,000 sets from year 2000 onward, pulled from the public Rebrickable dataset. Polybags, promo sets and minifigure series are deliberately excluded for now; they'll be added once collectors actually ask for them. A set missing? An email is enough.
05Where is my data stored?
Inside the EU/EEA. Web app on Vercel, EU region Frankfurt. Database on Supabase / AWS Ireland (eu-west-1). Both GDPR-compliant, no ads, no third-party trackers. Wiping your collection today happens by email; a self-service delete is in the works.
06What about Lifetime after the beta?
Lifetime is not yet activated during the beta: we don't take money for unfinished features. Once Pro goes live, Lifetime opens too: € 149 one-time, all Pro features forever, capped at 500 seats. Free users hear about it first by email.
